We’re really excited to bring this new learning opportunity to you all, and most excitingly, you can participate regardless of what your geographic location or schedule looks like. Totally rad.
This month, Vermont father and Chef Brandon Hamilton, will support an informal virtual group using the Marco Polo app for dads looking to pick a chef’s brain around a variety of cooking topics. Meal planning, pleasing picky eaters, freezing ahead…this guy knows a lot.
Read Brandon’s letter below, then click here to sign up for the group.
“Hello Dad Guild community,
My name is Brandon Hamilton, I’m a dad to a 15-month-old boy named Norin, and Dad Guild has been an incredible resource to me over the past several months.
I’ve been in the restaurant industry Cooking, Baking, Planning, Substituting etc, for 17 years and counting. I moved to Vermont in 2016 and I’m currently a Sous Chef at a Luxury Hotel in Barnard, VT as well as the Cook for my town’s senior center Meals on Wheels Program in South Royalton.
As much as I planned, fatherhood has been a challenging transition for me. Good thing communities like Dad Guild exist. That’s why I’d like to give back and offer my culinary knowledge any way I can to help the lives of whoever is interested.
How can I get ahead on making healthy nutritious meals that are quick when I want to eat them? Can I sneak in more vegetables? What can I substitute for gluten or dairy free diets?
If you’ve ever asked yourself any question similar to this and felt overwhelmed, it’s alright, ask me these questions, I’ve been doing this most of my life, and I’m here to help however I can. If you have any culinary questions at all, I may not have all the answers, but I’ll figure it out with you.”
