Buy In Bulk
Our bulk department is extensive, and we are expanding it even further this fall! Whether it’s fair trade coffee or tea, granola, grains and legumes, baking needs (gluten free too), oils and vinegars, dried herbs from Frontier Co-op, liquid soaps for all household needs, chocolate and nut butters, nuts and seeds, dried and frozen fruits and vegetables or sweet and salty snacks of all sorts, we have it!
We encourage shoppers to bring their own, reusable containers to fill from our bulk bins. Remember that your containers need to be weighed and marked by a cashier before filling. We provide bags and containers at each bulk station if you forget yours. We also have an “Experienced Container” cabinet with free, clean, reusable glass and plastic containers for use during non-pandemic times.

Claire
Department Manager: Bulk Foods
I am a Jersey Girl transplant to my forever home in Vermont, where I live in Bethel with my partner and four-legged companion (kitty) Boxcar Willy. I am an avid photographer, gardener and chicken mama. I like to cook and bake, read sci-fi and fantasy and make all sorts of crafts.
I have worked at a farmer’s market in Pennsylvania and at the Hanover Co-op Food Store and I love THIS co-op because it is intimate and literally the heart of the community. I also love my co-workers! I love being a part of such a vital source of local, sustainable food, especially in these uncertain times. I love getting to see so many friends when they come to shop too.

Assistant Manager: Bulk Foods
After nearly two decades of nannying in Boston and Manhattan, I am loving homesteading; it’s challenging and so rewarding. I live in Randolph Center and have a small flock of Shetland sheep and two San Clemente Island goats that are real rascals and who keep me on my toes. I have been at the Co-op over a year now as the assistant bulk and cheese person.
I have loved co-ops since I was a kid: the smells, sights, sounds and most importantly, the community. There’s an air of good will in co-ops that restores faith in humanity.
I love the people here at the Co-op, both my coworkers and the people who shop here. Everyone has a fascinating story, whether they realize it or not, and I love getting glimpses of these stories.
