SoRo Swag
What better way to show the world that you love and support your local co-op than by sporting the high quality gear that we partner with other local businesses to create? Try it and you too will learn that life is sweeter with SoRo Swag in it!
Our SoRo Market logo T-shirts, hoodies, baseball caps, winter hats and canvas tote bags are all printed at Silver Screen, LLC in White River Junction, VT. Our bumper stickers and stickers are created and printed by Spaulding Press in Bethel, VT. Our large, 24 oz hand thrown, SoRo logo mugs are made for us by Clay Path Studio in PA, and we will soon have smaller, 16 oz, hand thrown, SoRo Market logo mugs made by Pizzazz Pottery in Fair Haven, VT. We love partnering with other local businesses!
Janet Zug’s style is clean and classy with a playful feel. From her original hanging vase design and graceful Twister series to her dancing Jesters and happy Jubilant vases, she has captured this medium in a unique way. Janet’s life as a glassblower began with an apprenticeship in 1990. Now, Zug Glass creations can be found in fine galleries and private collections around our world.
We always have a large selection of Janet Zug’s glass creations on display in the store. Everyone who has seen the sun shining through that breathtaking rainbow collage of glasswork in the window knows how completely the sight will put a new spin on anybody’s day!
Zug Glass creations can be found on sale in our co-op year-round.

Meg
Department Manager: Gifts and Housewares
Originally from Indiana, I came to Vermont during a summer break from Warren Wilson College, a small liberal arts school tucked in the mountains of western North Carolina. The scenery of VT reminded me of NC, but with less heat and I was determined to make it back to the Green Mountain State.
With a few detours, I eventually returned to work at a farm in Royalton. In 2003 I applied for a cashiering job at the SoRo Co-op, and later became the Bulk Buyer, then the Grocery Buyer and Assistant Manager. During this stretch of time, my husband, Ben, and I bought land in Chelsea and I started a small vegetable CSA. In 2017, I scaled back my time at the co-op to stay home with our twins, Hazel and Mavis. I am currently the Gift and Card Buyer for the Co-op. My CSA has ceased to exist, but I continue to maintain gardens at our home and at my other part-time job at Crossroads Farm in Post Mills. I also grow winter-forced tulips in the basement of our home to sell to local stores (including the SoRo Co-op!)
My job at the Co-op has been such a meaningful part of my life. As transplants, it allowed Ben and I the chance to be integrated into the community early on. It has allowed me to meet many local farmers, artists and food purveyors. I have loved watching the Co-op evolve with the needs of the community!
