Beer & Wine

Our wine, craft beer, and hard cider selections are a true delight for the senses. From crisp, sparkling ciders and velvety, full-bodied wines to hoppy, aromatic craft beers, there’s something to excite every palate. We’re proud to feature local favorites alongside national and international treasures, and we work hard to keep shelves stocked with both tried-and-true classics and exciting new finds.

Many of our customers love pairing these beverages with our extensive cheese selection—imagine a creamy Vermont cheddar alongside a rich, malty brew or a tangy goat cheese with a crisp, fruity cider. With so many bold and flavorful options, every visit is an adventure for your taste buds. Go ahead, indulge a little—you deserve it, and your local economy will thank you too!

Fresh Organic Produce

Folks flock to our produce section for a rainbow of fresh, vibrant fruits and vegetables! Crisp apples, juicy tomatoes, fragrant herbs, and tender greens fill our shelves, many sourced from local farms. Eating local keeps us, our community, and our environment healthy, with reduced delivery miles and sustainable growing practices. Everybody wins when you choose local!

We also complement our Vermont-grown bounty with high-quality organic and conventional produce from farther afield, so you can enjoy a wide variety of fresh, healthy options all year round. Whether you’re picking up ingredients for a meal or aiming to “eat the rainbow,” there’s something here to delight every taste bud.

Check out our new, bigger, and more energy-efficient produce case—it lets us stock even more colorful fruits and veggies, making the rainbow of flavors and textures in our store even brighter and more inviting!

Meat & Fish

Cheese

We’re well known for our wide, well-rounded selection of cheeses made from cow, goat, and sheep milk. You’ll find Vermont specialties, regional delights, and familiar everyday cheeses, including sliced options from well-known brands.

Our local and regional specialty cheeses change with the seasons. It’s a treat to taste the subtle hints of the plants our dairy animals have been grazing on—each cheese carries its own unique flavor profile.

Many of our customers love the “one-stop shopping” that comes from exploring both our cheese and beer & wine departments. There’s nothing quite like pairing a special local cheese with an equally special local brew, wine, or hard cider. With so many choices, you’ll never get bored—so go ahead, invite a little decadence into your life. You deserve it, and our local economy will thank you too!

Bulk Foods

Our bulk department is extensive, and we are expanding it even further this fall! Whether it’s fair trade coffee or tea, granola, grains and legumes, baking needs (gluten free too), oils and vinegars, dried herbs from Frontier Co-op, liquid soaps for all household needs, chocolate and nut butters, nuts and seeds, dried and frozen fruits and vegetables or sweet and salty snacks of all sorts, we have it!

We encourage shoppers to bring their own, reusable containers to fill from our bulk bins. Remember that your containers need to be weighed and marked by a cashier before filling. We provide bags and containers at each bulk station if you forget yours. We also have an “Experienced Container” cabinet with free, clean, reusable glass and plastic containers for use during non-pandemic times.

Health & Beauty

Our shelves are thoughtfully stocked with a wide range of body care items, vitamins, and supplements, as well as herbal tinctures, homeopathic and conventional remedies, and essential oils. You’ll find everything from soothing lotions and bath products to immune-boosting supplements and natural remedies for everyday wellness.

We also carry topical and tinctured hemp (CBD) products, raw local honey, and refrigerated probiotics to support your health in natural ways. True to our co-op spirit, many of these items come from local artisans and small producers, so you’re not only taking care of yourself—you’re helping support our community too.

Whether you’re exploring natural remedies for the first time or stocking up on your trusted favorites, our department is designed to make it easy to find quality products that feel good, do good, and keep you coming back for more.

Gifts & Housewares

Our gift shop is brimming with treasures, both locally made and from around the world. Browse unique gifts, books, and greeting cards from Vermont artisans, or find beautiful and practical housewares—colorful fair trade baskets from Ghana, charming drinkware, playful toys, seasonal décor, and everything a home could need. Each item is carefully chosen to delight and inspire.

Show your co-op pride with SoRo Swag! Cozy hoodies, T-shirts, winter hats, and canvas totes are printed locally in Vermont, while hand-thrown mugs—both large and soon smaller sizes—are crafted with care by local potters. Stickers and bumper stickers let you wear your support on your sleeve (or your car). Every purchase celebrates our community and helps keep local creativity thriving—so treat yourself, or someone special, to a little local magic.

Pets

We carry trusted brands in both dry and canned food for cats and dogs. We also carry an array of treats and chews (some locally made!) for your best friends’ delight, cat litter, flea and tick care and a wide assortment of herbal tinctures for pets from local producer, Crystal Garden. We even have biodegradable doggie pick-up bags!

“Give a Dog a Bone!”: Reward your patiently waiting pup (who must be waiting on the sidewalk and not in your vehicle) with ONE FREE DOG BISCUIT from our “Free Treats for Fuzzy Friends” container, which is mounted to the wall on the inside left of our store entrance. Because pooches are people too!
