Our artist this month is as local as you can get! Sean Boardman was born, raised and still lives in SoRo and this is his first ever show! Come be inspired by Sean’s collage art, which is not for sale but so very interesting to take in. Read more about Sean and his art below.

Born and raised in South Royalton. Graduated from So Ro High School in 2000. Fed the good people of our town for years at my family’s pizza restaurant, Barry’s Pizza. Worked at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for over 13 years. For the last 4 and a half years, I’ve been serving the community as a medical secretary at the Bethel Health Center, a primary care offshoot of the Gifford Medical Center in Randolph.

Artist Statement

It all started years ago in Art class at South Royalton High School. I had tried everything from pen & ink to oil paints, from charcoal and pastels to water paints and clay. Nothing really appealed to me or created any inspiration. My Art Teacher, Mrs. Dinicola suggested putting together a collage. She explained that a collage is a collection of images and and/or words that you can put together however you like. After my first attempt, I was hooked and have been creating them whenever inspiration strikes. I hope you enjoy my creations!
